I was a columnist for Dr. Dobb's Journal for many years, wrote a bunch of computer books, and have messed around with website design, so it seems we have some things in common other than our name. I'm retired from writing and programming (except for fun) and am a fulltime musician and entertainer. I just ran across your site by accident. Two other namesakes with web presence are a roofer in California and a square dance caller. The roofer had alstevens.com for a while. I got it when he allowed it to expire. I wonder if anyone ever confuses us.
