Looking forward on hearing more details.

Would you like to elaborate a bit more why you chose Rackspace Cloud instead of e.g. Amazon? One good sign seems to be that there are real humans in the company like Angela :)

I purchased the Asus 1005HA-P net book with the 2GB 667 Mhz memory along with the sleeve about a month ago and have not encountered any problems. I wanted a net book so I could read my emails while traveling but so far I'm just getting use to it. The net book connected to my FIOS wireless network without any problems. Since I'm changing to a wireless printer I have not tried to connect it to any printer. The touch pad is very sensitive and it takes some getting use to. The feature I like the most is being able to use the touch pad to change the size of the font using the two fingers. This is a really nice feature for those of us with limited eye sight and it works well for reading emails.

I wonder if anyone ever confuses us.

I was a columnist for Dr. Dobb's Journal for many years, wrote a bunch of computer books, and have messed around with website design, so it seems we have some things in common other than our name.

I'm retired from writing and programming (except for fun) and am a fulltime musician and entertainer.

I just ran across your site by accident. Two other namesakes with web presence are a roofer in California and a square dance caller. The roofer had alstevens.com for a while. I got it when he allowed it to expire.

I've added a post about how it all came out. It was quite successful. I've harvested two crops of about a dozen large mushrooms each. In a few weeks, I'll try for the third.

Any updates on the mushrooms?

I got the Pioppinos (Agrocybe aegerita) and to my dismay, far more than the prescribed 45 days had passed when I got them, but the filter was still white...no discoloration. I think I may have some duds.

I think I will proceed anyway...hoping for the best.
